Marx O-34 track is a wider-radius track developed by Marx to compete with Lionel’s higher-end sets. 

Here are the details:

Diameter: The diameter of Marx O-34 track is approximately 34 inches from the outside edge of the ties on both sides. 

Ties: A piece of Marx O-34 track has five ties instead of the usual three found on O-27 track.

Straights: Marx O-34 straights are about 11 1/8 inches long.

Compatibility: Marx O-34 track can connect to regular O-27 track without any adaptation. It has the same profile as O-27 and can be used together.

So, to create a circle using Marx O-34 track, you’ll need eight curved pieces, each measuring 45 degrees.

Just so there isn't any confusion, Marx made 3-rail O-34 track with the same profile rail and ties used on their O-27 track.  Marx track is also compatible with K-Line & Lionel O-27 track. Marx made 3-rail O-27 switches in all metal and plastic base versions, and 3-rail O-34 in the plastic base version only.  Because of the design of the plastic base switch frog, they don't work very well.  The metal switches work fine.

As far as Marx 2-rail track is concerned, they made O-27 two rail tubular track for windup and battery trains, along with matching   O-27 switches and 90-degree crossings.  Marx also made all plastic switches and 90-degree crossings that would mate to the tubular O-27 2-rail track.  Finally, they also made all plastic O-27 track that was not compatible with the metal track.
