Vintage CENCO 115V Electric Motor made by Central Scientific Co., Chicago USA. Has a great satin black crackle finish case and twisted cloth cord. Tested and runs beautifully. Features a small brass pulley on one end and a worm gear on the other, which drives a fiber gear that turns a 1" pulley at a 90 degree angle. Because of the gearing, the speed of the 1" pulley is much slower. The motor shaft is 3/16". Central Scientific Co. manufactured equipment for classrooms beginning in 1900. It is possible that this was from a movie projector, vacuum pump, or some test equipment. Whatever it was, it was belt driven. Great little antique motor in working condition.
