Description

The royal road [Les Paul Standard] has established itself as a standard model over time since its launch.

The "50s" series reproduces the specifications of the 1950s, and the "60s" series reproduces the specifications of around 1960.

This model reproduces the specifications of around 1959, with a moderately thick neck grip and a fat sound with a heavy bass emphasis.

The set neck construction is the same as that used on violins and acoustic guitars, and the two-layer body with maple top and mahogany back is the secret to Les Paul's distinctive deep, rich tone.

The weight relief, which had been used in recent years, has been eliminated, and the solid construction gives the guitar a more vintage-like sound.

The clean tone has a don-shari feel and high sound pressure, and even when distorted, the sound retains its contours, making it suitable for a wide variety of genres, from jazz to hard rock.

When the "P.A.F." was introduced in 1957 and the "Les Paul" specification was established, it was colored gold top, and in 1958, the name was changed to "Les Paul Standard" for the first time. The 1959 is one of the most popular, and the most popular Custom Shop reissue.

The neck shape is a C-shape actually scanned from a vintage guitar, which is similar to the neck shape of today's "Les Paul Standard 50s".

It is not the thick and hard-to-grip neck shape called "D-shape" a long time ago, but a clean C-shape with moderate thickness, similar to the shape of the current 1958 Les Paul by Gibson Custom Shop.

The thickness of the 1959 shape is almost the same, but the edges are a little bit shaved, giving the impression of being a little more V-shaped than the C-shape.

The pickups are equipped with [Burstbucker 1 and 2], which were also used by Gibson Custom Shop, so it has a characteristic sound with moderate power and stickiness. It has a slightly muddy sound when playing chords, and it is the Les Paul sound of yesteryear with a glimpse of a bluesy side.

The circuit board wiring has been eliminated in favor of hand-wired wiring, and an orange drop capacitor is used in the tone circuit.

Compared to ceramic capacitors, the sound has a more angular impression, and the luster and thickness of the sound can be clearly felt.

The paint is all lacquer, using the traditional "nitrocellulose lacquer," so you can feel the changes in the paint surface as the guitar ages.
