1942 May Canvas Art Morrell Morrell's Walt Disney Calendar 8” X 10” Donald Duck

The art piece originates from a promotional advertising calendar in which Walt Disney partnered with Morrell Meats/Hams in 1942 to highlight some of Disney’s famous fables and cartoons. Each month had a separate page with unique Walt Disney art. The calendar they produced featured perforated edges around the Walt Disney art and story portion to keep and collect, separate from the calendar –which is what we have here in this listing.

This listing is for the art and short story from the May 1942 page of Morrell’s Walt Disney Calendar and depicts the story titled: "Donald's Golf Game."

The piece measures approximately 8 inches by 10 inches.  I was going to have it framed, but ultimately decided to leave the display method up to the buyer. I also personally did not cut or trim any of the sides to preserve it in the state that I acquired it (from an estate sale). It has some character left a little “rough around the edges”, but also could clean up nicely with a quick trimming.

This is a great early Walt Disney art piece example that would make a unique addition to any Disney collection.

If you would like any additional photos of a specific portion, I’ll be happy to provide those. Also, please let me know if you have any questions!
