ABOUT OUR SIBERIAN AMETHYST:

This is REAL SIBERIAN AMETHYST!  It was purchased from local miners and amethyst vendors located in the town of Mursinsk and Ekaterinburg. The Amethyst was mined out of the Ural Mountains. This Siberian Amethyst is nearly impossible to find and the majority, if not all, Ural Mountain amethyst mines are no longer operational.

We have a limited supply and once this is gone, we no longer have access to additional material. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to own some of the rarest and most exceptional amethyst in the world.

ABOUT AMETHYST:

The name Amethyst comes from the ancient Greek word “αμέθυστος” or amethystos, which means “not Intoxicated”. The Greeks would create drinking vessels out of amethyst and believed it prevented them from getting drunk.

Amethyst has a range of colors that include reddish-violet tints of pale or almost colorless shades to deep, rich purple tones, all the way to pure violet. Siberian amethyst is some of the best amethyst known in the world for its deep concord grape color.

Amethyst is a legend-old semi-precious gemstone. It has been used in jewelry dating back to 3000 B.C.E. It is the most popular and most valuable form of quartz on the market today. The deeper the purple color, the more valuable.

The most important amethyst deposits are in Brazil, name lythe "Palmeira" amethysts of Rio Grande do Sul and the "Maraba" amethysts of Para. Other significant amethyst deposits are located in Bolivia, Canada, India, Madagascar, Mexico, Myanmar (Burma), Namibia, Russia, Sri Lanka, United States (Arizona), Uruguay and Zambia.
