c1906 Katzenjammer Kids Heat Up Comic Novelty Postcards ~ Lot of 3
  Features:
In the early 1900s, these wonderful familiar comic characters would be available in your Sunday newspaper as a give away.  The postcard asked a question so you would then "Heat up this post card with Hot flat-iron, gas jet or match (Don't burn it) " and this would then reveal the image!  Postcards of this type are often irregularly trimmed on the edges and have some tanning/age-ing. Two of the cards in this lot have heavy edge trimming. The captives card has some mild handling creasing.
  Approx Size 5 1/2x3 1/4 " inches
Artist: Rudolph Dirks (1877 – 1968), German born, American Cartoonist.
