country setting; with gilding to vase rim and foot
Superb

James [Jas] Stinton
Signed
Jas Stinton – James was Royal Worcester’s specialist artist in game birds in
naturalistic settings: a fine painter of pheasants, grouse and other game birds, either in
flight or on the ground in their natural setting. His stunning work, of which
this vase is an excellent example, remains in high demand worldwide.
Portrays
printed factory mark to base, including shape number G923, communicating the
trumpet shape of the vase – and date code for the year 1917 [an asterisk plus one dot]
Stands
approximately 23 cm [9 inches] in height
In Good Condition: there are no cracks or chips to the vase; there is some slight age-related fading to the paintwork and an imperfection in the coating to part of the non-painted area of the vase - probably from manufacturing process and also some possible restoration. In short, the vase portrays the perfection of James Stinton's stunning artistry and craft within an imperfection of slight flaw of the non-painted area wider vase.
Note: in order to gain guidance on value of the vase, I have had it professionally examined and assessed - and an auction price estimate was £300-£400 [this being auction house wholesale estimate - not retail price]
