Here I have an original French Mle. 1892 1st Model Bayonet. This bayonet retains the full quillion and 15cm muzzle ring. There is the absence of manufacture markings on the spine which place date of production between 1905-1912. The scabbard is mismatched but in similar condition. Blade length is 15.75 inches.

Originally designed for usage on the M1890 Mannlicher-Berthier Cavalry Carbine, M1892 Artillery Carbine, and M1916 Artillery Carbine.

Speaking of condition, this piece is a used and shows signs of said usage. Expect to find light surface rust that can be removed with gentle cleaning, wear in the bluing, and wear on metal parts that had a frequency to rub together.

There is damage to the grips that can be repaired. The latch sticks slightly but works; a little cleaning should fix this immediately.
