Vintage commemorative medal for the Builder of the Golden Gate Bridge, Joseph B Strauss. Measures 1 1/2" diameter. Struck by the Whitehead & Hoag mint. The obverse reads: "BUILDER OF THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE - JOSEPH B. STRAUSS" along with an image of his bust. The reverse has an image of the bridge and reads: "THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE - SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF." The coin/medal has wear and patina as shown.
