The Advanced Jumbo was manufactured as a higher-end model of the J-45 toward the end of the 1930s.
We have just received a USED Custom Shop model made in a limited edition of 65 pieces.

The SJ-200 features a small-sized firestripe pickguard, rosewood sides and back, and diamond and arrow inlays unique to the Advanced Jumbo.
The specifications of the prewar period can be felt.
The rosewood sides and back and a longer scale than the J-45 give this model a taut sound.
This model has a bright sound with rich sustain and volume, and a glossy midrange.
The long scale also gives the impression of a clear-sounding Gibson acoustic.
However, the gutsy bass and treble range have the Gibson sound that is appropriate for the higher-end J-45 models.
It is also equipped with L.R. Baggs' Lyric, so it is sure to be an instant success in live performances.
There are some hairline scratches and signs of use.
There is no damage that needs to be noted, but there is a rice grain size paint chip on the bottom of the body top.
The neck is straight.
Fret wear is minimal and the rasps are good.
The string height has been adjusted to about 2.5 to 2mm for comfortable playing.
