Antique early 19th century Wax Seal Fob with Etched Ship Image

A very old stone/silver wax seal fob with petite round etched impression of a three-masted sailing vessel. Authentic late Georgian-early Victorian c. 1800-40, most likely made in England.

The handle, the silver cap and the ship impression are all hand-crafted.

The handle is banded agate, the etched impression image appears to be rock crystal or quartz, the silver is sterling and has hand-tooled designs and repousse work.

The handle end is flat enabling this to stand on its own, this end may have been intended for a personal engraving.

Approx. 1 1/8" in length, seal impression diameter approx. 5/16".

Excellent condition with light wear.  CLEAN, no odors, from my smoke-free home.
