Subject: Struck to mark the completion of the Monument aux Morts de Nice (Monument of the Dead), a war memorial to the nearly 4000 Nice locals killed in WWI. The memorial was designed by architect Roger Séassal (1885-1966) and sculpted by Alfred Janniot (1889-1969).
