The
name Osmanthus means "Fragrant Flower" (from the Greek "Όσμανθος" -
fragrant, fragrant flower). Osmanthus is valued for its delicate
fruity-floral aroma of apricot, even fallen petals emit a magical scent
for many hours. The perfume uses absolute golden-orange petals, which is
one of the most expensive ingredients. The aroma of fresh flowers is
light, floral with honey and apricot notes, and the smell of absolute -
complex, floral and fruity with honey, wood and leather shades.
Osmanthus
was brought to Europe in the middle of the XIX century by the French
botanist Jean-Marie Delaway, who during a trip to China described about
one and a half thousand previously unknown plant species. The Osmanthus
delavayi variety and several other plants are named after the scientist.
OSMANTUS
eau de toilette is a unique, fresh, floral, pleasantly sweet and fruity
aroma that embodies all the beauty and sophistication of the amazing
osmanthus flower.
The aroma opens with fruity
notes of fragrant apricot, pear and bitter orange accords, which are
replaced by floral notes of osmanthus absolute heart and warm accords of
carrot seeds. The final culmination of this fragrance is a woody-musky
plume with notes of sandalwood and cedar.
