Ex-NGC MS63 but like (almost) all coins in my collection I have broken it out of the slab (I hate slabs) and so it is sold raw.

Rare to find a true currency mint state of this date. In my view nearly all those that have turned up at auction in recent years are Maundy - and I suspect that is also the case for the higher graded versions at NGC.

This one is very clearly a currency - with deep but beautifully fine and crisp ghosting of Victoria on the reverse. I have never seen anything come remotely close to the condition of this for a 1869 currency 3d.
