Ein psychedelisches Kleinod aus dem Duisburg des Jahres 1972, von dem es schon diverse illegale Fälschungen gab - dies ist die endgültig-rechtmässige Ausgabe mit zwei Bonustracks. Geheimnisvoll, oder wie in der COSMIC DREAMS AT PLAY-Psychedelic-Bibel nachzulesen ist: 'Wenn Du schrägen psychedelischen Folkrock magst, dann suche nicht weiter! Kalacakra machten auf 'Crawling To Lhasa' sicherlich einen der verrücktesten Ausflüge in zusammenhanglose östliche Psychedelic. So hätte die Incredible String Band geklungen, wenn Mike Heron und Robin Willaimson zehnmal so durchgeknallt gewesen wären wie sie es wirklich waren.' Und dann noch THE CRACK IN THE COSMIC EGG: 'Ihre Musik verband verschiedene Einflüsse von Folk und Östlichem, andeutungsweise bezugnehmend auf die Third Ear Band und Popol Vuh, doch am ehesten auf Clark-Hutchinson mit ihrer Platte 'A=MH2'. Kalacakras Mischung von Mantras, Blues, Folk und bekiffter Psychedelic brachte 'Crawling To Lhasa' einen wohlverdienten Sammlerwert ein, doch waren sie insgesamt gesehen eine vielschichtigere und merkwürdigere Gruppe als alle ihre möglichen Vorbilder.'
