Electronics icon KENWOOD entered the Walkman market early in the game and released some of the most interesting, high-quality models through the ’80s and beyond the ’90s. 

Sporting some industry firsts this brand came up with the most interesting housing designs and some rare technologies with outlandish names - all of them worthy of a demanding listener.

They have constantly ranked among the best players in terms of portability, functionality, repairs and sound quality. 

They might not have released many models like AIWA or SONY did, nevertheless their models were very sought after and achieved great sound. Today these models are highly valuable because of their collectible nature.

• The unit sports a precise “K-Tech” anti-resonance tape transport housing with anti-modulation materials. 

To keep the angle of the head and the tape at a constant level this model has adopted the mechanism with a special tape guide. 

• A Dynamic Bass Boost circuit is also present - able to emphasize the bass frequency of 50Hz up to 16 times while giving a crisp note to the treble. 

Automatically adjusts the amount of emphasis depending on the level of volume knob at any specific time. 

In addition it prevents the delicate treble response to be lost by varying the amount of linear amplification depending on the volume changes of the original sound. 

• A super rapid charging function was also an amazing feat at the time It can charge up to 50% of the full charge in just 10 minutes; it can be fully charged in 30 minutes. 

It will automatically switch from the rapid charge to normal charge in accordance to the remaining amount of power in the rechargeable battery. 

VERSATILE: This unit works with any “gusmstick” battery from SONY, SHARP, Panasonic, Kenwood, Sanyo and more (models form the 90’s and newer).
