Synopsis
Thing 1:

Paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) joins a Norwegian scientific team in Antarctica, where they have discovered an alien spacecraft buried in the snow and an organism that appears to have died in the accident. When an experiment releases the alien, a creature capable of transforming into a perfect replica of any living being, Kate must join forces with the team's pilot, Carter (Joel Edgerton), to prevent it from killing everyone. Paranoia about whether they are infected begins to spread rapidly and an exciting race for survival begins. The Thing is the prelude to the classic of the same title, directed in 1982 by John Carpenter.

Thing 2:
Horror master John Carpenter (Halloween, New York City) unites Kurt Russell's extraordinary performance with incredible visual effects to create this chilling version of the classic. The action takes place in the winter of 1982, at an experimental station in Antarctica. A team of twelve researchers discover an alien that has been buried in the snow for more than 100,000 years. Upon thawing, chaos and terror ensue as the alien changes shape and becomes one of the researchers.
