Description
This FERNANDES FST-50 was manufactured around 1978.
We still have the warranty card issued by our store at the time of 1978, so it is at least pre-78. By the way, it is a one-owner item.
According to the 78 catalog, the body is Sen.
The part number is FST-50, and the number 50 indicates the price at that time.
This guitar is similar to 70's Strat with 3 point neck stop, large head, etc. (This guitar is 70's to begin with).
The knobs and switch knobs have been changed to black, and the original knobs are missing the volume knob.
The arm unfortunately lacks the original, and a modern generic arm is included (the arm cap is pure white...).
The saddle imoval screws have been replaced with new ones.
The weight is 3.85kg without the arm, which is subjective, but it does not feel as heavy as the number.
Original hard case is included.
Condition
There are some rusts and stains on the metal parts and dents on the body and head, but there are no major paint chips or other flashy damages. (Although, there are more dents than shown in the pictures.)
The body, pickup covers, and other colors have discolored nicely over time.
The finish is very austere, moderately used, while maintaining a somewhat good appearance considering it is 45 years old.
The inside, bridge area and frets have been cleaned.
I am not sure if this is original, but there were 5 tremolo springs on it, so I have put 5 tremolo springs on it as it is.
There is no problem with the neck. The truss rod is not torqued and the neck is almost straight and in good condition.
The frets are worn, but the string height on the 12th fret is 2mm on the 6th string and 1.75mm on the 1st string (09-42 gauge), and there is currently no sound clogging.
Considering the age, this is a Japanese vintage Strat in good condition!
