WATERFORD "LISMORE" ROLY-POLY DOUBLE OLD FASHIONED CRYSTAL GLASS TUMBLER IN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CONDITION. The tumbler is 2 3/8 inches tall, has a top opening diameter of 2 5/8 inches across, and sits on a beautifully cut 16 petals around 32 cut wedges on a round base of 1 5/8 inches wide, as seen in the photographs. This double old fashioned roll poly tumbler is barrel shaped and is 3 1/4 inches at its widest, and holds about 9 ounces of liquid. This is Waterford's most famous pattern named "Lismore" and has been around since 1952. It is hand-cut and hand-blown in Ireland by the famous Waterford Crystal Co. The beautiful hand cut pattern consists of 3 bottom long rows of 8 sets of criss-cross diamonds between 8 pairs of long and short alternating vertical flutes in between. Although this was purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island and was pre-owned, the double old fashioned roll-poly tumbler is in absolutely perfect condition. I found it sitting in the back on a felt lined shelf inside a closed dining room cabinet, where apparently it sat for many years and was probably never used, because there are absolutely no scratches on the bottom, where one would normally expect them to be. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always try to describe the item as best as I can. There are no scratches, chips, cracks, fleabites, stains, cloudiness, or repairs anywhere. Although its very light, I did captured the famous Gothic "Waterford" Acid Etched Insignia in 2 of the pictures. The double old fashioned roly poly tumbler comes from a smoke-free home.
