The first in a trilogy of films based on JRR's enduring masterpiece "The Hobbit" Tolkien's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" follows the main character Bilbo Baggins, who along with the wizard Gandalf and 13 dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, is swept on an epic quest to reclaim the dwarven kingdom of Erebor from the terrible dragon Smaug. .
