Month or so old, fully working. Just not what I was looking for.

Be aware - being an idiot, on my second use of this I plugged the power in the wrong way around and released magic smoke. I popped the IC and melted its socket.

I desoldered the socket, replaced the socket and put in a new IC. It appears now to be fully working as it did before my mishap and I can’t see a reason why it would be a problem but listing this to be honest - possible that it may not have been noticed!
