I have seen others like it that are floor lamps and very possible this once was made into a lamp. There are no holes on the base, but it does have the tubing for wiring. Please see pictures. So can easily be converted into a lamp.

In very good condition. There are some sticker residue which I’ve left and some discoloration on one of the brass leaves which I made no attempt to change. Wanted to leave that up to the purchaser.
