All my bearded irises come with planting and care advice between late July and early September unless otherwise requested - please disregard ebay's automatic despatch date

Tall Bearded Iris Reckless Abandon  HM AM Wister Medal

One of the newer American varieties with lovely ruffled white standards edged and veined with gold and a rich yellow centre. The beards are also yellow. Burgundy black falls with yellow sunbursts veined burgundy black make this a spectacularly colourful variety.  Well-branched with lots of flowers to each stem.  Height 38-40inches, 100cms, mid-season.

Like all specialist bearded iris growers, I only despatch at the start of the transplanting season.  Irises don't do well in pots as  they hate root constriction, so mine are field grown where they have the free root run they need to develop into sturdy plants.

Standard dwarf varieties mostly flower in late April/early May, intermediates in mid May, and the tall bearded start at the end of May.   Plant in the same bed ranked by size for a very long display

Did you know, in Greek mythology Iris was the messenger from the gods who came to earth through a rainbow.
