This is a beautiful example of a 19th Century Victorian Era Scrapbook.  The covers are really pretty and is reminiscent of the beauty and fragility of the Victorian Age.  The Album is in overall good used/antique condition - seems to be better than most but there are signs of wear and use for a fragile item perused over for many years by the ancestors and current family members of any family who had the  luck and ability to collect scraps over the years and pass down the item through the family and extended family. The album (covers and interior pages)  itself has edge wear and spine wear and wear and loss at the top and bottom of spine and along all edges of book. Some wear,loss and brittleness to the paper which is very very old at this point in time over 140-150 years old.  The interior of the album is in overall good to very good condition- condition varies from page to page and we cannot list every issue.  We believe the interior to be better than most but there are the attendant issues of age and wear- yellowing scotch tape marks, some missing pages,some wear/surface loss to scraps, some scraps or paper removed.  

Please see all photos and ask questions.  Photos tell the best stories.  The Scrap Album measures approx 12.5" X 10" with approx 36 filled pages one side only and extra blank pages to be filled by current generation.  There are a few pages which have more recent scraps (mostly of cats) and we left all as found.

Condition on this item is good to very good used old antique.
