Lovely Vitra Eames Soft Pad EA217 adjustable swivel office chair from Harrods.
This is a high spec version with Aluminium armrests and a white (snow?) leather, and would cost £3980 to buy direct from Vitra today.
Good, used condition, with some signs of wear in the leather at high stress points (see pics). The aluminium armrests have also become slightly dull (oxidised?) with use, but can be polished with a soft dry cloth and lots of elbow grease! I think abrasive polish/cleaners should be avoided so have not attempted to use any.
- Backrest and seat: EA 217 with medium-high backrest. Sewn-on foam cushions in leather. Side profiles and spreaders in die-cast aluminium, with a polished finish.
- Seat mechanism: adjustable backward tilt, lockable in the forward position. Continuous seat height adjustment with gas spring.
- Armrests: die-cast aluminium, with a polished finish.
- Base: five-star base in die-cast aluminium, with a polished finish. Equipped with soft castors for hard floors. Castor covers in black.
