The first in a trilogy of films based on JRR's enduring masterpiece "The Hobbit" Tolkien's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" follows the main character Bilbo Baggins, who, along with the wizard Gandalf and 13 dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, is drawn into an epic adventure to recover the dwarf kingdom of Erebor from the terrible dragon Smaug. .
