He once commuted between London, Dunkirk, Amsterdam and Wuppertal - in the 1970s, Scania's 111 was used as a cross-border commuter in the long-distance transport business in the Europe of the barriers that still existed at the time. WIKING had the model ready early on. When Scania introduced the progressive cab-over-engine generation of the “110” series in 1968, WIKING reacted quickly to Scania’s market efforts and presented the associated model for the first time in 1971. Numerous combinations were to follow and were also able to convince the numerous WIKING model friends in Scandinavia. For this reason alone, the traditional model makers used the Scania front-control generation in numerous combinations as a trailer and semi-trailer combination.

Cab roof and front bumpers, chassis and rims sapphire blue. The top and bottom of the cab are light blue. Interior grey-blue. Saddle plate silver. Semi-trailer bed sapphire blue with silver cardboard insert. Hand-colored headlights at the front. The front of the cab has silver Scania lettering and type designation “111”. Protruding grill ribs sapphire blue. Cab sides with silver door handle and company lettering “MAT” and “Cardiff” lettering underneath in sapphire blue. Side indicators yellow-orange. Semitrailer chassis with axle holder, tarpaulin and rims sapphire blue. Tarpaulin printing on both sides with silver lettering “Great Britain Continent VV” and “ACJ-MAT” logo. Tarpaulins printed on the front with the lettering “ACJ-MAT” logo. Side printing with silver lettering “Amsterdam Wuppertal London Dunkirk”.
