THE SPRING STEEL 5160 USED FOR THE BLADE IS WELDED/FORGED AND HAMMERED SEVERAL TIM.THE HARDNESS OF THE BLADE IS UP TO 58 TO 60 HRC ON ROCKWELL SCALE,IT WILL HOLD SHARP EDGE FOR REALLY LONG TIME.

AND IT IS MEANT TO HOLD SHARP EDGE FOR ROUGH AND TOUGH USE.
