Known as Corry Field or Corry Station, the mission was to provide technical
and military training in Cryptology / Instructor Training. Corry was
commissioned the Naval Communications Training Center on April 1, 1960.
Communications training was moved from Imperial Beach, California to Corry
and the first class convened on January 3, 1961. In 1973 the Chief of Naval
Operations changed the name to Naval Technical Training Center, Corry
Station.
