The body parts are NOT interchangeable. THE LED LAMP ASSEMBLY INTERCHANGES WITH P60 P61 P90 and P91. This is one of very few lamp assemblies that can operate with 2 CR123A batteries. Almost ALL others can ONLY be used with 3.7 volt 18650 batteries. The switch is a high quality "reverse clickie". It switches ON by depressing the button and CLICKING AND RELEASING the tailcap switch. It has a spring steel pocket clip. It has a body tube diameter of 1" and will fit most types of 1" scope/flashlight mounts. It has a crenalated bezel to be utilized as a striking instrument if needed. The crenalated bezel also allows you to see if it is ON when placed face down on any flat surface. The 940nm Infrared IR is rated 3 watt output by the manufacturer. The actual output is reduced by losses in the driver circuit, reflector and lens assembly.  It is mated to a driver circuit that is SINGLE MODE (ON or OFF), and has an operating voltage range of 3.7 to 8.4 volts. It does not vary output as more or less voltage is applied. Because of this, output WILL NOT DIMINISH throughout the life of the batteries. The LED lamp will also withstand shock/vibration and is rated at 50,000 hours. It is an excellent weapon mounted light.  It is also very EFFICIENT by squeezing the last bit of power out of the batteries, and producing BRIGHTER output for 3 to 4 TIMES LONGER than the comparable incandescent lamp. It is extremely efficient because the LED itself produces INFRARED light without the need to place a filter on the front of the lens like ALL of the others. Remember that placing a lens in front of the LED output WILL diminish lumens.. It is SAFE to use ONE (1) rechargeable 3.7 volt 18650 rechargeable battery OR TWO (2) rechargeable 3.0 or 3.7 volt 16340 batteries (total 6.0 to 7.4 volts). DO NOT use different voltage batteries or a FRESH and USED CR123A. Please keep in mind that 3.0 volt rechargeable batteries come off of the charger at 3.6 volts, and 3.7 volt batteries come off the charger at 4.2 volts. This "over-voltage" WILL INSTANTLY burn out INCANDESCENT lamps and 3.7 volt LED assemblies. THIS LED LAMP IS DESIGNED FOR THIS HIGHER VOLTAGE!!!! These are CUSTOM designed Hunting and Special Purpose Lights. These compare with Surefire 6P for 1/3 the price! Features of this 940nm Infrared LED Flashlight:

It produces a spotlight beam that is visible to GENERATION 2 or better Night Vision Devices.

Most TRUE GEN 2 or better NVD's will see illumination from this flashlight at 200m or more. I have reports from users that GEN 3 NVDs will see past 800m.

Some Digital cameras and Cell Phones will pick up some of the output. Cameras and phones have FILTERS to reduce IR coming into the CCD.

There is NO REDDISH GLOW AT THE EMITTER AND NO VISIBLE BEAM.

If you have a GEN 1 Night Vision Device you will NEED an 850nm Infrared LED. 850nm LED Emitters have a slight reddish glow at the emitter. but produces NO VISIBLE BEAM. GEN 1 NVDs WILL NOT PICK UP ANY USEABLE LIGHT FROM THIS 940nm IR LED. Please see my other listings for 850nm IR flashlights.

There is a new generation of DIGITAL NIGHT VISION DEVICES. Most produce better resolution than the comparable (older) cascading tubes.
