Inn-Nong Takrud (Version: Puppy Love)

by Kruba Thakoon, Mae Phae Temple, Chiang Mai Province.

The Legend of Inn-Kuu amulet of Northern Thailand, inheriting the ultimate charm of Lanna. For the creation of this "Inn-Nong Takrud",

Kruba Thakoon had made it according to the ancient Lanna mulberry paper scripture that has been handed down for many generations with age over hundreds of years old.

In the past, the magic teachers had stated in the ancient Lanna mulberry paper scripture that Inn-Nong Yantra could be used to inscribe on a metal sheet or cloth to be a powerful amulet that would support its owner in terms of great popularity and outstanding charm. The owner will be delighted and affectionate to everyone, no one can despise, and always be pleasing to the eyes of all people.

Moreover, the power of Inn-Nong Yantra is also effective in the side of business and selling. Customers always come to pick up items and pay money,

earning thousands of profits.

The outstanding power of Inn-Nong Yantra which is the most well-known and most experienced among the believers, is the aspect of "Persuading The Mind & Pull The Heart Of People To Be Soft-Hearted & Kind, Connecting The Body & The Mind Of 2 Persons To Join Together Into A Single Piece Of Wood".

The hard-hearted person will be soft-hearted, the lover will not be sick and tired of love. Interestingly, the word "Nong" in the northern Thailand dialect means holding back, weighing down or pulling the connection from both sides, as can be seen from Inn-Nong Yantra, which is an image of a man and a woman being pulled together to be one harmonious.

For the making process of "Inn-Nong Takrud", Kruba Thakoon brought a copper metal plate to write full formula magic characters together with a special blessing for each magic character at a specific auspicious time according to scripture. Kruba Thakoon used copper metal plate to make this Takrud because "Copper" is the elemental metal of Venus, the star of love. Therefore, it is considered to be an element of happiness & charming in itself. According to the science of western belief in alchemy,

there is also an emphasis on this matter.

After that, Kruba Thakoon rolled the copper metal plate to be Takrud before covering it with various kinds of charming magic powder,

such as holy chalkboard powder from Lanna's charming magic subjects,

herbal powder that is made of special plants which has natural power in terms of popularity and reputation, and holy powder that Kruba Thakoon made from various sacred amulets that he has collected for a long time.

Kruba Thakoon brought all the above-mentioned powder to grind through a special process in many steps until all the mass became finely powdered.

Kruba Thakoon said that if the powder is not fine enough, when applying powder to cover Takrud, the surface of Takrud will not be smooth and beautiful.

If the surface of Takrud is rough, then the additional Yantra cannot be engraved on the outside surface of Takrud nicely.

After Inn-Nong Takrud was covered with magic powder completely, Kruba Thakoon took Inn-Nong Takrud to lacquer it with black varnish and gild it with gold leaf according to the ancient method and then engraved another type of Inn-Nong Yantra to increase the strength of the magic power to be doubled.

This technique is called "Good Outside, Good Inside".

Interestingly, Inn-Nong Yantra that was written on the outside surface of Takrud is different from the Yantra that was written on the copper metal sheet. Every meticulous step mentioned above, Kruba Thakoon made entirely by his own hands to ensure that the sacred amulets he created would be beautiful in art and powerful in magic, perfectly completed to be a truly valuable item for the believers that will create the legend till the future generations.
