New strings, and ready to play!  This has been a really fun guitar just to sit and stare at!  Mojo for miles and the guitar obviously has some great stories to tell.  I believe this is KG-21 but happy to be corrected.  I base that on other guitars I have seen and on the hardware and size etc.

Local pick up available in Oak Ridge, TN (greater Knoxville, TN area)

Background:  I bought this used in unplayable condition and had my local luthier go through it and do basic setup of the bridge and the action is actually not bad for just basic folk and Americana type of playing.  I think the bridge and action are basically as low as you can get without a neck reset.  I do not see any evidence of prior neck reset etc so everything looks original.

Open back line tuners on back do not appear to be disturbed, and look a lot like Grovers but I do not see maker mark on them.

This obviously had a single pickup installed on it at some point so there is a hand made cutout on the original/old pick guard.

Has the unique Gibson tapered/wedge head stock and deeper V neck.

I do not know the story behind the markings on the guitar.  I did some basic research on the Swiney name or location and did not find anything solid to work with.  I have seen other examples of similar era guitars marked this way with hand painted names and slogans etc.

These early Gibsons won't win any awards for big booming sound but they have their own aged sound and characteristics.  I enjoy plinking on this one and it's time to find it a new home.

Shipping:  I can take to UPS and ship on your dime but otherwise listing as local pick up only
