Description
This is the type described as "000-28 AJ" with a low-profile regular grip neck, non-scalloped X bracing, and adjustable rod, a mid-90s Martin that was characterized by its reddish pickguard.
From this time on, the 000 size quickly re-branded and lined up in the position of a completely standard model.
The one-piece mahogany neck is dark in color and seems to be dense, producing a clear sound with a strong sense of torque.
In terms of condition, the pegs have been replaced with open back, butter bean knob type with Martin's original logo.
The nut and saddle have been replaced and adjusted with ox bone, and the frets have been rubbed to match, so there is no partial wear.
Bridge pin has been replaced with another one similar to the original.
A strap pin has been attached to the heel of the neck.
There is evidence that two contact pickups were attached in the body in the past, and now only the endpin jacks remain.
Scratches include knocks, dings, and scrapes on the top, and buckle scratches on the back.
