The Omega Speedmaster is one of the most recognisable chronograph designs ever produced. NASA chose the Speedmaster over other chronographs (including Rolex's Daytona) as its official watch for space exploration. It got the name of "Moonwatch" after it accompanied astronauts on the Apollo 11 mission, which brought the first ever humans to the moon. Unlike some of its competitors, Omega has hardly changed the overall aesthetic and functionality of the watch. This means that relatively little separates today's modern Speedmaster from the very watch that went to the moon.
