A differenza del pendolo tradizionale è costituito da un’impugnatura smontabile in ottone e da un’asta rigida in acciaio armonico di 0,5 millimetri che termina con un disco in metallo in ottone.

L’uso del biotensor, inventato nel secolo scorso dal radiestesista tedesco Josef Oberbach, è conosciuto e impiegato soprattutto dagli amanti delle pratiche esoteriche.
