Here is the preying lion lid to an antique Gillinder glass round butter or cheese dish, produced in the latter portion of the 1870s.  With no engraving, this will work with both an engraved or plain 6" round "Lion" butter base bottom.

There are no chips or cracks, and it appears to have not been used with the exception of a few tiny shelf marks.

As with EAPG, Depression era, and other vintage glass, there may be slight 'character' marks, shear marks, bubbles, ripples and mold marks on bottoms or sides from the original mold and/or production process.
