8" Standard Replogle globe is a great size for reference, as well as decor, without taking up a ton of desk or shelf space. It is about 10" tall on metal base (10 1/2" to finial), and about 6 1/4" across base. If I can get this shipped safely to you for less expense, I will send refund through paypal.
