Listing here the royal village as it was in 1897 -  the Memorial Chapel is still under construction, the palm leaves that had come with Prince Henry's coffin from Africa are still there.  There is a rare acknowledgement that the Queen uses a wheelchair.   Also a photo of railway station and station mistress.
