This Victorian capelet was made from black and purple silk satin and trimmed with Chantilly lace.  Circa last third 19^th century. Measures around 21 ½ in. from neck to end of sleeve lace, 28 ½, from neck to end of front closure lace is 28 ½ in., back of neck to end of lace at hem is 24 ½ in.  Needs a touch up with a cool iron, lining at neck seam faded, a touch or two of fade on inner lining.
