We are pleased to present a pair of mystery brass double eagles, each 7" tall, 6.25" wingspan. A bit like a caduceus. Whatever they are, I assume these wall-mounted. The "knob" on each has a square slot in the top side, which held ? what? a candle holder? a shelf bracket? perhaps a door knocker? The backs are very rough, perhaps they are unfinished, or perhaps they were modified long ago. Weight on each piece is about 18-ounces -- heavy! Please see pics.
