1989 Ford F350 XLT Lariat Centurion Conversion

For consignment, upon first glance it is hard to tell if this is a dually truck or a spaceship.  This one owner, 24,326 title verified mile truck has undergone a Centurion conversion which means it is now in crew cab form and has a fully dressed up interior.  An F350 which is a towing machine with dual rear wheels, it sports addons aplenty nearly resembling a big rig in many ways.  And the two tiered multi window Jerico Bed topper adds to the excess and optional aero deflector in the bed for when the cap is off and this is truly a one of a kind truck!

Exterior
Bells and ornamental added visual whistles abound, starting up front with a lower chin spoiler, push bar added to the bumper and grille, and 4 additional fog/working lights stretching across the front grille lower.  A chromed protective bar surrounds the headlights and runs through the push bar.  Front quarters have added wheel well flares which melt into a full truck length running board along the bottom rocker.  The steel ,which is all rust free, is bathed in Colonial White and is well applied, nice and shiny.  Some Dark Shadow Blue and light blue combine for a late 80's styled nifty graphic applied to the sides.  Keeping to the excesses the cab is topped in front with a visor, and plenty of running lights on top of it.  Dual chrome air horns are above the driver and when used is your cue to skedaddle out of the way!  Big chromed mirrors hang for the front set of doors and on each pillar for the 4 doors is a pull bar and carriage light to aid in the comb in!  The back bed has been covered with a spaceship like two tiered windowed Jerico bed cap.  This fits perfectly into the bed which is still pristine under the rubber liner and all painted cream. There is no lack of light on this cap!  Massive flared rear fenders and quarters house the dual wheels which help for the big pull on the rear.  Even the running boards are flared to meet the fenders.  These fenders also have the blue graphics adding to the big rig mystique and very 80's.  Speaking of which, a large flat V shaped chrome bumper has the hitch setup and is in perfect condition.

Interior
As I would before entering any spaceship I had to "gear up" which included some ostrich skin cowboy boots, faded Wrangler jeans and a checked shirt with my Stetson beaver hat.  I swung the doors and here was greeted with a mass of blue vinyl and plastic perfectly molded and preserved panels.  Some wood inserts are here as well as the power window and lock buttons and a storage bin on the bottom.  Sitting in the comfy slightly worn front blue broadcloth covered buckets I stare upon a factory dash which is very clean and all original.   Looking up is a wood console with some lighting toggles and a built-in CB radio. essential for the long haul pull to keep smokey out of your hair.  A custom built thin oak wood console floats rearward and has some lighting in the center and goes above the rear passenger bench also in blue broadcloth with more lighting within the oak trimmings.  Oak has also been added to the upper rails just above the doors to provide a base for the upper pulls to hold on to when accessing or egressing.  I can note the truck has dual fuel tanks, overdrive, AC, power windows and locks, and a factory AM/FM Cassette player.

Drivetrain
Under the hood in a nicely detailed engine bay sits the BIG 460ci V8 which is the factory original.  It has EFI, and a factory 4 speed automatic transmission with the overdrive button, (E40D), and on back is a limited slip Dana 80 big rear axle to handle the strain of whatever you are pulling.  A gaggle of words and hoses, not unlike the exterior menagerie of visual eye candy.

Undercarriage
Plenty of surface rust although all unremarkable as to any structural problems or damage.  Twin I beam front suspension is on, and leaf springs for the back.  Power disc brakes upfront and power drums for the rear.   A stock exhaust is snarling its way rearward for the dual exit.

Drive-Ability
She fires right up and runs like a champ.  Good handling and plenty of raw power.  The brakes work fine but I noticed a hiss from the brake booster when applying them.  Also the power locks are in-op and the AC blows warm.

The top of the line tower package with the XLT, Lariat and Centurion packages added along with that Jerico multi-tier and plenty of windowed cap.  All tricks put in classic 1980's 1 owner low mile garb and a mini big rig tower of you will, rope, (sic... lariat reference!), for the picking from our Hallowed Halls.
