FIGURAL PAINTINGS

Well painted pair of paintings on board each measuring 16x20 Each, one framed.  These one-of-a-kind oil paintings on the canvas board feature intricate details and rich multi-color tones. The artist, Shalamar Herman, has skillfully captured the essence of African American figures and its people through her expressionism style.

One painting pictures an impressionist African American woman and another African American man seated in a blue room seated at the desk. Both paintings have a great pallette of rich colors. One is signed on back Sharamar Herman Intro paint. Both have numerous pencil drawings or studies on backs.

I find both pieces attractive and nice to look at. Both paintings are in good conditioneith one of the women having a gouge at the bottom left. The boards are slightly warped but straighten out when framed.
