This porcelain platter was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer, or KPM, in 1912.  The impressed date letter indicates this year.  The platter measures 17 3/4 inches long, 14 5/8 inches wide and is 2 3/8 inches deep.  The platter is a replica of the dinner service created for Frederick II, King of Prussia  in 1767 for the Breslau Palace. The style is known as Prussian Rococo. The flower painting is incomparable. The artist captures the myriad layer of rose petals in a single bloom.  There is a border of light blue fish scale intertwined with raised gilded vines. Heavy gold trim accents the rococo rim.  #E578
