Selling my first ever car, served me well and took me to many adventures. Sadly, there is an issue with clutch/transmission despite my efforts to rev match/double clutch. Sometimes the low gears seize, and it's impossible to shift. However, sometimes pumping the clutch temporarily solves the issue (also seems better when it gets a chance to warm up). I changed transmission oil maybe 2 years ago, so probably not that.

Don't have a flat driveway to work on this myself, but you're looking at around £600 for a new clutch kit with a dual mass flywheel (you might as well replace the whole thing as you need to drop the subframe if you want to reach the clutch bearing). Cheapest quote I for parts+labour was £1100 in local garages. The car starts fine,  and these engines are supposedy reliable and should last up to 200k. Only issue I had was the EGR failing, but it's a 20 minute job to replace. Last MOT pointed to a few things that will need replaced, but pretty basic stuff. Some chips/scratches on the paintwork here and there, and a missing jet wash cap. Windscreen replaced maybe a year ago so nice and clean. Heated leather seats, heated windscreen. Comfortable ride, but not family friendly, hence the reason for selling.

I'm hoping this would go into someone interested in restoring this, it's honestly a nice car, I tried my best looking after it, and can probably find all the receipts for oil and parts I replaced.

The variant of the car is Sovereign. It has a clutch pulley on the alternator - this solves the issue of loud idling these X-Types have. omes with a spare space saver wheel and emergency jack. I will also throw in a 12v pump,  fuel snd oil filter, some coolant. Viewings welcome.

I suggest towing the car, but you cac chance it and hope "pumping the clutch" works to get you home.
