This vise was Restored correctly by me . Totally dissembled every part inspected all paint and grime removed to metal all scares on jaw towers removed by sanding absolutely no fillers used . Used automotive primer and 3 coats of automotive paint with automotive clear coat all exposed metal restored. Painting an old vise is not restored this is.

Made in the late 40s early 60s the C 44 by Columbian were stylish and built like a tank. In order to get a vise as well made as this you would have to buy a high end professional vise. Vises like these are sadly not made today. A vise bought today if used will last months not years. Remember that you get what you pay for. Vise will last a lifetime. You can search for long time and will likely not come across one in this condition.

I ADDED NEW HANDLES AND JAWS THE PARTS ALONE ARE ABOUT A HUNDRED this vise is worth the money I added photo of the way it was . Usually don’t but this old girl is special.
