Very sweet, vintage 1953 "Ideal" "Baby Ruth" baby doll. She is 16 inches high and has shiny rooted saran hair. She is vinyl, with an oilcloth body. She is a "Mama" doll, but her voice box no longer works. She has blue sleep eyes with full lashes and pretty face paint. She is wearing her complete, original outfit, bonnet and shoes.  She is marked on the back of her neck. Her cotton dress is trimmed with delicate lace, has puffed sleeves, a fitted waist and very full skirt. It has a satin ribbon that ties with a bow around the waist and buttons in the back. Her matching bonnet has a wire around the brim to keep its shape, is trimmed with lace, has ruffled netting on the inner part around her head, a blue satin bow on top and ties in the front.  She has a full cotton slip, with decorative edging and cotton pantaloons, with elastic at the waist and legs, also with a decorative trim. Flocked white baby shoes, that tie in the front.  I have replaced the original flowers in her hair, with vintage flowers and replaced the ribbon that ties her bonnet on.  She is in very good condition, the issues are: There is a black mark on one eyelid, her arms and legs have slight discolorations here and there, there are discolorations on the dress and the slip. These can be seen in the photos. Please examine them carefully.  Non smoking home. Payment must be made within 24 hours of end of auction.
