Mr. Drot had visited most of the painters and the book describes their paintings; showing them working in their tropical gardens visiting cockfighting, celebrating carnival, voodoo, living in paradise, in tropical landscapes mixed with African animals, African traditional family celebrations and a funeral ceremony.
