GARRARD RARE Three Pin HEADSHELL Part No. MPM2 used on the RC90 RC80M RC88 RC98 RC88/4 RC98/4 RC121Turntables with the round brown bakelite tonearm. Does not fit RC80 or earlier.
May be used on some other models from the 1950s, pls check the service notes, or the wiring of the tonearm. 3 wire stereo has two signal wires and a common return ground.
THIS HEADSHELL has the top hole with the black surround on top and two leads for GE VR and VR II cartridges with a turn over knob on top. For 3-pin stereo, a third lead can be added to the third pin

Garrard's Description
The Garrard type MPM2 is a multi-purpose pickup case (headshell) designed for use on model RC90, RC80M and RC111 three speed automatic record changers, also the model TA three speed single record player.
The case will, with the aid of the accessories supplied with it, enable a wide range of pickup cartridges to be fitted.
A thin Bakelite section known as a knockout, which can be easily broken away, is provided in the front of the case through which can pass the knob of turnover type cartridges.
A hole is also located in the top of the case, covered by the Garrard name plate, for the knob of the turn round stylus type of cartridge.
As this pickup case can easily be plugged in and out of the pickup arm, single stylus cartridges can be fitted having a separate case for each type of cartridge.
CONDITION: Brown "Bakelite" plastic w molded handle. Front has opening for turnover handle for certain ceramic catridges. comes with two cartridge leads and clips for 2 wire mono. Clips fit the GE VR RPX and VR II.
Does not have any cartridge mounting screws or hardware. Does not have the cover plate for the top opening.
Headshell basically in new condition: Plastic is clean and glossy. No cracks, crazes or chipping.
