Antique/vintage Chinese famille rose with purple ground enamelware covered vessel that could have been used as either a teapot for serving brewed tea or a ewer for dispensing boiled water during tea ceremony.

The jar features soft colored symbols of a joyful life, typical motifs on jars intended as wedding gifts. An array of flowers in bloom such as peonies and wild insects such as butterflies and dragonflies adorn the surrounding edges.

Decorated with overglaze polychrome enamels in a palette of bright pinks and purples, this ceramic kettle brings joyous color to its surroundings.

The piece measures~ 9.5" tall x 8" wide x 8" deep.

Condition: I noted some faded/missing paint to the top of the lid. Some grey  was used to cover some of the missing paint along the tip of the spout and close to the spout on the jar. Please see pictures.
In beautiful overall condition. Great collectible piece!
