Antique solid gold thimble. The hallmarks are: 8; C.H; shield-shape incorporating three raised areas; 9; .375; L. These appear to indicate: Size 8; Charles Horner (maker); hallmarked in Chester; 9 carat (indicated by 9 and .375); 1911 (year hallmarked).
Weight: approximately 4g (to nearest g).
Condition: Please see photos. The open end was probably originally circular, and is now slightly mis-shapen.
